Rio Tinto Mining Company is the second largest mining company in the world and their ownership of the now-closed gold mine in Ridgeway, SC necessitated a new building to house offices, conference rooms, storage, and shop space for grounds maintenance equipment. Utilizing a pre-engineered metal building, the simple form, warm materials at the entry, and strategic window placement provide a pleasant working environment within an economical building type.
