Devine Street Mixed Use

A new mixed-use building on Columbia SC's Divine Street knits retail and residential into a single streetfront scaled to the neighborhood it joins.

Interior of Sully’s Steamers with wood tables, metal chairs, an open service counter, colorful wall graphics, and customers ordering food.

Located on a small urban infill site, this new mixed-use development houses two ground floor commercial tenant spaces and two luxury apartments with private decks above.

Devine Street’s identity as a historic shopping destination for the surrounding neighborhoods required the design to meet City of Columbia’s corridor district requirements to maintain street front presence.

The massing of the building allowed for outdoor seating and activity areas tucked in behind the tenant spaces with hardscape and landscaping to provide separation and a sense of enclosure from the adjacent parking.
