Hunter McKenzie  AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB

Principal

Hunter is a lifelong resident of the South Carolina Midlands.  His experience includes renovation and new construction projects for universities, churches, state agencies, commercial, multifamily, and residential clients. Hunter has a passion for design and a great appreciation for how the built environment affects the communities in which we live. He prides himself on serving his clients well and fostering an ethos of teamwork between owners, end-users, consultants, contractors, and all others involved in the design and construction process. Hunter is a past president of the Columbia Chapter of the AIA, and he currently sits on the City of Columbia's Historic Preservation Design Review Commission.  Hunter and his wife have two young daughters and are involved at First Baptist Church in Columbia, SC.

John McLean  AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Principal

John’s experience spans over 20 years across higher educational, federal, commercial and municipal projects. His insight into historic preservation has earned AIA state and regional awards including SC State’s Lowman Hall Rehabilitation done in partnership with the National Parks Service and the South Carolina State Museum’s “Windows to New Worlds” Renovation which added a planetarium, 4D theater, and observatory to the museum. John’s commitment to professional excellence is integral to his interests in his community, church, and family. John has served as a long-time board member of a local non-profit that provides financing for affordable housing in central South Carolina. John and his wife have three daughters and are involved at North Trenholm Baptist Church.
